Introducing the xlsgen business intelligence tool

xlsgen 3.0 has introduced a wealth of business intelligence features, all meant to make it easier to parse, slice and repurpose data without having to work with cell references, one of the weaknesses of Excel.

Still, in xlsgen 3.0 business intelligence is exposed by a programmatic interface, there is a need for making business intelligence capabilities available to a different kind of audience, advanced users and sometimes including novice users.

That is what the business intelligence tool is about. A data analysis tool for everyone who has already learned how to use the basis of Excel and has needs that cannot be met with Excel.

Some of these special capabilities are the understanding of your data semantically in order to enable corresponding features, the abstraction of cell references into names, the exposure of powerful and advanced analysis tools, the coverage of the entire lifecycle of data, the inclusion of very unique and graphical capabilities often at just a few clicks away. Oh, and designed to be trivial to use for any Excel user.

This introduction just delves into a few details. Coming posts will go deeper into how this tool solves your problems with data. A functional build of the tool will be made available shortly, with a competitive price and licensing model.
