Microsoft Bitlocker : NSA compliant

extrait : "Companies relying on Microsoft BitLocker to encrypt the drives of their employees’ computers should install the latest Windows patches immediately. A researcher disclosed a trivial Windows authentication bypass, fixed earlier this week, that puts data on BitLocker-encrypted drives at risk. (...)"

Anyone could have suspected of it, Microsoft does not have a good track record of providing secure products to their customers (numerous controversial projects regarding privacy, partnering with Intel TPM chips), not to mention the fact that Microsoft is NSA-compliant and that, in this regard, Microsoft is legally forced to lie customers who would ask them if any document or metadata has been forwarded to security agencies working without even a warrant.

Fortunately, it's over for Microsoft. Everyone understands now that there is greener pasture, and the vendor lock-in does not exist anymore. So any time you are willing to put your data in safe, the rule number one is to avoid Microsoft as the pest.
