Android and incompatible MTP devices

To my utter astonishment, all Android devices shipped with at least version 4.0 use the Microsoft-designed MTP (Media Transfer Protocol) protocol in order to connect to a computer and transfer files, many computers simply lack MTP support or have only partial MTP support.

The consequence is that, if you are to purchase an Android device for something else than passing calls and playing games, chances are you won't be able to do anything relevant to programming with it.

Yes, that is the world we live in. And you still wonder why the crisis is going on so bad ?
