Microsoft still values C++ despite all fluff

These days, there is a lot of fluff as to how high-level programming languages (and their corresponding SDKs) have taken over traditional programming languages such as C/C++.

In reality, nothing could be further from the truth.

Exhibit 1 : Microsoft is open-sourcing key parts of their latest javascript engine. Believe it or not, it's 98% C/C++ with a tiny bit of assembly code.

When it comes to speed, performance, memory control, there does not seem anything better than it.
